Springtime is the symbolic start to a new beginning. The snow melts away, the sun stays out a little longer, and flowers and trees start to bud. Not only is warmer weather approaching, but also the start of the real estate season!
Are you preparing to list your home come April or May? Here is a handy checklist to help you prepare your listing.

  • Make your home inviting
    • Arrange your furniture to maximize an open floor plan
    • Put away all knick-knacks and other collectibles
    • Make sure all house plants are alive and well taken care of
    • Remove any excess furniture
    • Reduce the number of family photos to make the home less personal
    • Brighten up dark spaces with lamps
    • Avoid scented candles or air fresheners
  • Living areas
    • Keep coffee and end tables clear
    • Keep dining room table clear except for one centerpiece or focal point
    • Remove any ashtrays
    • Put all toys away
    • Remove extra leaves and chairs from dining room table
  • Kitchen
    • Keep countertops clear of clutter
    • Make sure tile grout is clean
    • Clean all appliances
    • Make any small repairs necessary
    • Keep all cleaning products put away
    • Empty the garbage
    • Organize pantry
  • Bedrooms
    • Make beds
